01 · The challenge

What was broken, what was at stake

A music enthusiast typically jumps between Spotify, Soundcloud, YouTube, Twitter and a playlist app. Muzibit's founders wanted that fragmented behaviour collapsed into one app where the music and the people who cared about it lived together.

02 · The approach

How we thought about it

Lean on existing audio/video platforms rather than competing with them. Soundcloud for independent/long-tail audio, YouTube for video — both via their APIs. Build the social graph, the community feeds, and the influencer mechanics on top. That's where the product differentiation lives.

03 · What we built

The actual solution

Mobile app on iOS and Android with Soundcloud and YouTube embedded for unlimited audio/video. Three feeds — Buzz (community chatter), News (releases, tours, shows), Dish (reactions and reposts). Playlists, sharing, and commentary built in. Influence accrues to users whose Dishes get repost reactions.
